I attended High Tech High North County from the years of 2013-2017. High Tech High is a chain of project-based schools in San Diego county with a main emphasis of preparing their students for college and the working world. Instead of having finals every year we prepared "POLs", Presentation of Learning. Senior year my final POL presentation covered my semester long project of conducting research under High Tech High's Improvement Science Team. It was then that I created a project and lesson plan to help high school students be informed and eligible for the California "CalGrant". Click the button to the right to watch my final POL.

I joined the HTHNC Varsity Track & Field Team my freshman year of high school and continued to play for the team until the end of my sophomore year. I ran the 1x10 hurdles, 100m, and 4x100 relay. I attended the Willie Banks invitational conference in 2014 and placed 3rd place for Women's 100m hurdles.

Because our school was small (approx. 500 students) we didn't have any funding for our sports teams. In order to afford materials, jerseys, and supplies, teams were expected to provide the money themselves. High Tech High's annual Village Fest was an opportunity for groups on campus to fundraise for these costs. My freshman year, I created a sno-cone booth and raised over $1,000 for HTHNC's Track & Field team.
