Beauty: A Chemical Analysis
Sample #1
Results: Poor Lotion
Summary: The lotion is quite dangerous. It has melted a hole in the petri dish it was placed in and made the rest of the surviving plastic soft, we don’t give it much longer. The lotion is very sticky, capable of holding an Expo marker to your palm for a few seconds. It makes the skin very sticky. That is not it. After staying on your skin for a few minutes (1-3) it will begin to cause slight irritation, it will begin to pull off skin and turn it red. DO NOT USE ON DRY ELBOWS, MAJOR PAIN. Sample #3
|
Results: The lotion didn’t have any moisturizing properties, and in result only left an oily layer on the hand. It wasn’t too oily, but it definitely dominated over any other qualities a lotion should have. The lotion wasn’t very easy to apply, and was somewhat difficult to get off.
Summary: This lotion compared to others is definitely preferable, although it’s not a lotion anyone might choose to buy. This recipe is thicker than the others, but doesn’t have any moisturizing properties(neither do the other recipes). We need to find a new recipe for to make for our batch, or even alter this sample. I think it would be best if we keep this same recipe, but alter a few key things.
